Terms of Service

Letter from Santa is a web tool that writes a personalized letter from Santa for a child. You type the child's first name, age and a few good things they did this year; an AI model drafts a letter from those details; you read it, change any sentence you like, and download it as a PDF or print it at home. We don't mail anything.

Writing letters is free, up to 3 a day on each device. The optional North Pole Pack is a one-time purchase that adds 20 more letters, a Nice List certificate in 4 designs, a matching envelope, 2 more stationery designs and a handwritten font. What each option includes is listed on the pricing page. We may change, pause or stop any feature, including the free letters.

The site is not affiliated with any postal service, toy company or "official" Santa program.

An AI model drafts every letter. We give it strict rules (no naughty list, no promised gifts, no religion unless you ask for it) and check each letter against them before you see it, but no check is perfect. Please read the whole letter before you give it to a child and change anything that doesn't fit your family. You decide what the child finally reads.

Only type details you are happy to have sent to our server to write the letter. The privacy policy explains what happens to them.

Use the site to write letters for children in your care or your family, or for a class you teach. You must not:

• use the letters to frighten, shame, threaten or harass anyone;
• type anything illegal, or details about a child you have no right to share;
• try to make the model write something harmful by putting instructions in the form;
• get around the free limit, for example by switching devices, browsers or networks to get more free letters;
• send automated traffic, scrape the site, call its endpoints from your own scripts or overload it;
• resell the letters, the stationery or a North Pole Pack, or offer them as your own service;
• try to break into, probe or copy the service.

• The letter is free: up to 3 letters a day on each device (the count resets at midnight UTC), with no account and no email address needed.
• The North Pole Pack costs $3.99 and is a one-time payment. There is no subscription and nothing renews.
• The price is the one on the pricing page when you buy. We may change prices for future purchases; a change never affects a pack you have already bought.
• Checkout for the North Pole Pack is not open yet, so nothing can be bought on the site today. When it opens, payments are processed by our merchant of record, Waffo Pancake (waffo.ai), which also handles taxes and refunds. It sells you the pack, takes the payment and issues your receipt, and its own terms apply to the payment. If we ever change merchant of record, we'll update this page.
• A North Pole Pack works only on this site, can't be transferred and can't be exchanged for cash.

There is nothing to cancel: the free letters cost nothing and the North Pole Pack is a single payment that never renews.

A North Pole Pack that has been delivered is not refundable, except where the law requires otherwise. A letter that fails because of a fault on our side is not counted against your free letters or your pack, so you can simply write it again. The full rules are in our refund policy.

You keep all rights to what you type. You confirm you're allowed to share the details you give us about a child, for example because you are their parent, carer or teacher. We use those details once, to write the letter, as described in the privacy policy.

The letters you make are yours to print, give and share for personal and classroom use. The site itself, its text, design, stationery and code, belongs to us. You may link to any page; please don't copy the site or sell its stationery.

The site is provided as it is and as available. As far as the law allows, we make no promises, express or implied, that it will always be available, free of errors or fit for a particular purpose, or that every letter will be exactly what you wanted. The letters are written by a model running on a third-party service that can fail or change without notice.

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for what happens when a letter is given to a child. Our total liability to you for anything to do with the site is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before your claim, or USD 10 if you haven't paid anything.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, or takes away your rights as a consumer where you live.

There are no user accounts on this site. If you break these terms, we may block your device or network from writing letters, refuse further purchases, and cancel a North Pole Pack that was used to break them. A pack cancelled for breaking these terms is not refunded, except where the law requires otherwise. If something you type is illegal, we may report it to the authorities.

We may update these terms of service. The date at the top shows the current version. If a change matters, for example to prices or to what we keep, we'll point it out on this page. If you keep using the site after a change, the new terms apply. A change never takes away a pack you already bought.
